CARA-C has a quality of tone that is reminiscent of Bond or Vanessa Mae. If you liked them, chances are you'll appreciate CARA-C in just the same way. Here's the Breakdown PEOPLE !

Gypsy Lovedust- an excellent composition with a haunting melody and a driving infectious dance beat.

Love to Love You Baby- CARA's rendition hold it's own with a perfect production that grooves, moves and breathes.

I'll Wait For You- again a showcase for CARA's virtuosity on the Violin. She crosses musical boundaries with ease, elevating this track to a classical piece. I can't help but hear a film soundtrack here ! Simply awesome sweeping gestures on the violin with an undercurrent of pure artistry and feeling !

Hara Hara Mehadeva- A successful blend of World Music with an Arabian/Eastern European flair.

Eclipse- An introspective yet upbeat track that, once again, displays CARA-C's unique ability to transcend musical genre's with ease and perfection.

Mirror, Mirror- Another of my favorite titles from the Starchild CD, set to a great groove, Mirror, Mirror features a soaring violin solo by CARA-C !

Boy Chaser- Another memorable melody here with a sweetness to it, that is somehow reminiscent of a small town fair in a time long forgotten.

Love Vamp- Love this Song !! Simply beautiful melody again and an innocence reserved forever.

La Quinta Breeze- CARA-C does it again with this breathtaking composition. If you feel down listen to this track again and again. It is a refreshing source of inspiration in this crazy mixed-up world of ours. Bravo, CARA !
I strongly urge those unfamiliar with CARA-C to buy this CD. In so doing you are supporting a great artist and our world is better place, thanks to this "STARCHILD".

Recently I had a chance to review this truly rare gem.

This is fully enjoyable- innovative fusion of jazz & classical elements approach, with a smart selection of atypical instruments for this type of music genre. Maybe Maestro Stravinsky was around with a fitting advice… Or perhaps on the other end of musical menu offerings, was this combination of Beatles; groundbreaking “All you need is Love” from the mid 60s with “The Allan Parsons Project PYRAMID”…Well, none of them and all of them together…, the straight comparison would be unfair. This is a unique professional work standing alone high, filled with tonal inventions, and lasting impression on anyone, particularly on any appreciative connoisseur of high quality music…

In my opinion, the Starchild album, and particularly the Gypsy Lovedust interpretation deserve the full acknowledgement of the valuable contribution to the musical industry, and consequently the highest possible appreciation and recognition of a Grammy award!

I recieved CARA-C's CD today, and I loved it!
I think her compositions are uplifting and crisp.
CARA-C's work is exquisite, just as it had been upon my first hearing it.

To begin, I enjoyed track 2 (Love To Love You Baby) just based on the
familiarity of the song but really for the new twist. To add an
electronica, (obviously violin) and disco-beat feel to this song gives
it an entire new life. For younger listeners, they may not even know
it's a cover! Well done.

Secondly, track 3 was lovely. It's classical piece correct? I just
enjoyed the vibe...made me feel I was in France hanging out in my castle
lamenting over my lost queen or something. Very melancholy but very
soothing.

Track 6 (Mirror, Mirror) was excellent in its use of a Spanish style guitar. It made the song organic.

Finally, I enjoyed La Quinta Breeze...not only for the choice of chords
and melody but because La Quinta is the next town over from me! I live in Palm Desert

Who'd have thought that the violin (as opposed to the fiddle) would marry so well with electronica to create on of the most infectuous albums of the year? I don't think science can explain it, but on CARA-C's genuinely "worldly" debut, she cooks up a handful of the catchiest dare-you-not-to-move-your-fee concoctions this side of the dance floor. This is a truly unique album, from the dynamic opener, "Gypsy Lovedust," through a remarkable cover of "Love to Love You Baby" to a batch of stunning originals including "Mirror, Mirror" and a "Vamp on the aforemention Donna Summer- Giorgio Moroder classic. The biggest suprise is not that "violin electronica" works, it's that CARA-C makes it work so well! This could easily be that start of a unique new genre and CARA-C leads the charge with this standout debut. The possibilities for her follow-up are limitless, but "Starchild" opens doors to all of them. Put on the first track and try hard not to dance. Resistance is futile! A brilliantly unique debut that deserves to be dominating clubs, radios, and stereos worldwide.
